Where is beaconsfield vic

Raised 3 kids who all went to the local Primary school, and walked to the local high school. They are all grown up, but still living in Beaconsfield. You really feel that this is your community, and get to know your locals. Great shops, plenty of parks and recreation facilities. Always so good to come home!!! Moved from warragul to Beacy 5 years ago and really love it. Great place to raise kids. Also great for family to vist only 35 mins from warragul and all hwy and no city driving for the oldies.

Catch the train to the city for any major events. Beacy has it all country feel in the suburbs. A superb suburb to live and visit. Safe, quiet and within easy access to everything. Open spaces for the kids and plenty of places to walk the dog. I have nothing negative to say about Beaconsfield. A nice quite town with good set of shops. It has a Woolworths, Aldi, Home Hardware. It's a short trip to Berwick with it's restaruants.

Also love the Sunday markets at the Berwick Showgrounds. Set against a backdrop of stunning rolling hills and beautiful rivers and creeks, Beaconsfield is a delightful community located around 45km from Melbourne. Bordered by towns like Harkaway, Guys Hill, Officer, Clyde and Berwick, Beaconsfield is a great location for young families or retirees seeking picturesque living in the Victorian countryside. It is home to almost 4, people and boasts its own railway station, a small shopping centre with an Aldo supermarket, an Aussie Rules football team and both a primary school and college.

Beaconsfield is a beautiful town to live in - it still has that country feel but is so close to everything. Safeway is coming into the area soon. I love it and wouldn't live anywhere else. Thanks for the review! You're almost on the edge of Melbourne - how is the mobile phone reception?

Fine no dramas at all. I also have broadband internet and foxtel. So all services are available. Thanks for lettung us know. Some people report patchy services in outer areas so it's helpful to know Beaconsfield has good coverage. I'm confused. You love it and wouldn't live anywhere else but you rate it 3 stars!

Come on. Where is your community spirit! Once gold was discovered at Woods Point, business increased significantly with the passing miners travelling to the gold fields in various locations. After the flash of gold miners, the district became known for its logging and sawmilling, sand deposits and then the orchards of apples and lemons. In the Beaconsfield Railway station opened up giving the opportunity for further growth of the town and businesses began to form the small township.

The railway station became the hub of activity with the influx of visitors from Melbourne and suburbs; they would arrive on the train greeted by coaches and horse drawn carts, which would transport them to Beaconsfield Upper for the day or a stay at a guest house. The name was already in use in the area being the name of the Post Office, which opened on October 1st, The first homes built were wattle and daub huts near the Cardinia Creek.
